Leo Spitzer

b. 1939

Bolivian-born Leo Spitzer is the Kathe Tappe Vernon Professor of History at Dartmouth College. A scholar of African and Jewish history, colonialism, and racism, he has been the recipient of the Guggenheim, Ford, and National Endowment for the Arts fellowships and awards.
