Jeremiah David Alexander Fiorino

1797–1847
Born in Kassel, Germany, Jeremiah David Alexander Fiorino was a prominent miniaturist who painted portraits on porcelain and ivory. He studied at the Kassel Academy, where he won a grand prize. Fiorino decorated a famous Meissen service for the Saxon royal family and served as court painter in Dresden, where he made notable portraits, including medallions of King Albert, Prince Maximilian, and Prince Ernest of Saxony.
