Jane Shore

b. 1947

Poet Jane Shore grew up in North Bergen, New Jersey, and now is a professor of English at George Washington University. Her volumes of poetry, which are often autobiographical, have received the Juniper Prize, the Lamont Poetry Prize, and a nomination by the National Book Critics Circle. Shore has also received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
