J. J. Goldberg

b. 1949

J. J. Goldberg is a senior columnist and the former editorial director of the Forward. He was a founding member of Kibbutz Gezer and a Labor Zionist activist. He attended McGill University and received a degree in journalism from Columbia University. Goldberg served as U.S. bureau chief of the Jerusalem Report and managing editor of the New York Jewish Week. As a journalist and lecturer, he has written extensively about Jewish culture and politics.
