Itzik Weingarten

b. 1951

A director, playwright, and actor, Itzik Weingarten was born in Reḥovot. He studied theater at Tel Aviv University, and then joined Nola Chilton’s theater
group. Weingarten directed and acted in several solo productions and was the house director of the Haifa Theater. He has also served as the artistic director of the Akko Festival, and founded the Neveh Tsedek Theater. He is a recipient of the 1992 Teatronetto Award.
