Isaac de Moses de Paz

b. ca. 1690

Little is known about the life of Isaac (Yshac) de Moses (Mosseh) de Paz. A resident of Livorno, he was a cousin of ḥakham Samuel de Paz and married a Dina de Paz in 1712. He composed a short ethical work in Spanish, Medicina de la lengua (Medicine of the Tongue), which was published in Amsterdam. Isaac de Judah Leon Templo, the printer, composed a poem in honor of de Paz, included in the book. In 1753, de Paz appears as the corrector and editor of Sefer lev tov (Book of a Good Heart), a Spanish translation by Isaac Nieto (1687–1773) of the Yom Kippur prayers, published in Livorno.
