Hugh Nissenson

1933–2013

Born in Brooklyn, Hugh Nissenson was a journalist, novelist, and short story writer. In 1961, Nissenson covered the Eichmann trial in Israel for Commentary. He received the Wallace Stegner Fellowship at Stanford University, the Edward Lewis Wallant Award, the Ohioana Books Award, and a nomination for the PEN/Faulkner Award.
