Henryk M. Broder

b. 1946

A controversial German journalist and essayist, Henryk M. Broder was born in Katowice, Poland, and moved to Germany in 1958. Broder studied sociology and years later began his journalism career. He lives in Berlin, is co-editor of Der jüdische Kalender, and writes for Der Spiegel and other newspapers. He has received the Schubart-Literaturpreis and the Ludwig Börne Prize.
