Haym Soloveitchik

b. 1937

Haym Soloveitchik grew up in Boston and attended Harvard University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He was professor of Jewish history and literature at Yeshiva University. A leading scholar of the history of halakhah, he teaches and writes on Jewish legal history, medieval religious movements, and the contemporary Haredi world.
