Edwin Seroussi

b. 1952

Born in Montevideo, Edwin Seroussi is a musicologist, specializing in the Sephardic tradition. Seroussi immigrated to Israel in 1971, studied at the Hebrew University, and earned his doctorate at UCLA. He is professor of musicology and director of the Jewish Music Research Center at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He also founded and is the editor of Yuval, the music series of the Jewish Music Research Center.
