Donald Margulies

b. 1954

Playwright Donald Margulies grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and now teaches at Yale University. In the 1980s, his play Found a Peanut was produced at the Public Theatre in New York. His Dinner with Friends received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Margulies is also the recipient of the Sidney Kingsley Award, the National Foundation for Jewish Culture’s Literary Arts Award, grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation, and an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
