Daniel Asa Rose

b. 1949

Born in New York City and brought up in Connecticut, Daniel Asa Rose is a novelist, short story author, and essayist. Currently the editor of the international literary magazine the Reading Room and a regular book reviewer for the New York Observer and New York Magazine, Rose was the arts and culture editor of Forward. He was an NEA literary fellow in 2006; among his other honors are the O. Henry Prize and two PEN Fiction Awards.
