Chanoch HaCohen Ehrentreu

b. 1932

Born in Frankfurt, Chanoch HaCohen Ehrentreu came with his family to England before World War II. An Orthodox rabbi, Ehrentreu was the head of Britain’s United Synagogue Bet Din (rabbinical court), a post he held until 2006. Ehrentreu also has held rabbinical and Jewish legal posts at Gateshead and Manchester.
