Calvin Trillin

b. 1935

Calvin Trillin grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. As a staff writer at The New Yorker and a columnist for Time magazine and The Nation, he has written humorous features on American family life, food, and travel. He has also published novels, short stories, and travel books. In 1980, Trillin was nominated for the National Book Award.
