Bianca Eshel-Gershuni

1932–2020

Bulgarian-born Bianca Eshel-Gershuni immigrated to Palestine in 1939. A self-taught jewelry maker who creates pieces with unusual combinations of materials such as plastic, glass, and feathers, in the 1970s she also began producing sculpture and body decorations. Eshel-Gershuni taught in the department of metalwork and jewelry at Bezalel in Jerusalem (1977–1986) and is the recipient of several prizes and awards, including Bank Discount Prize (Israel Museum, 1993).
