Barry W. Holtz

b. 1947

Barry W. Holtz grew up in Boston, graduated from Tufts University, and received his doctorate from Brandeis University. He is dean of the William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary. As a professor of education, he teaches classical texts and provides professional development for educators. Holtz was awarded the National Jewish Book Award for Education in 2004.
