Barbara Myerhoff

Born in Cleveland and brought up there and in Los Angeles, Barbara Myerhoff was an anthropologist and professor at the University of Southern California. She was also a filmmaker, author, and essayist who observed the lives of the el der ly. Myerhoff received an Academy Award in 1978 for the documentary Number Our Days.
