Arthur Green

b. 1941
Arthur Green grew up in New Jersey. An ordained Conservative rabbi, Green was the founder of Havurat Shalom Community Seminary. He later served as dean of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and as rector of the rabbinical school at Boston’s Hebrew College. A student of Abraham Joshua Heschel, Green’s field of scholarly research is Hasidism and mysticism. He has received several awards from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
