Alice Kaplan

b. 1954

Alice Kaplan was born in Minneapolis. As a historian and literary critic, she specializes in the history of postwar France. She taught at Duke University and is currently the John M. Musser Professor of French at Yale University. In 2000 she was a finalist for the National Book Award.
