Albert Hanan Kaminski

b. 1950

Albert Hanan Kaminski is a graphic designer, animator, and film director from Brussels, Belgium who immigrated to Israel in 1970. He holds degrees from the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam and from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, where he established the Animation Department in 1996. From 1977–1979 he was an art director at Israel Television. In the 1980s, he began producing short animation films for the American children’s television show Sesame Street and also produced animated films for the show’s Israeli and Palestinian versions. Since 1999, he has directed several acclaimed feature films and television series. He currently lives in Israel where he is an Associate Professor at the Holon Institute of Technology and heads the Master Program in Integrated Design in the Department of Film and Television at the Tel Aviv University.
